The article begins by stating that Conejo Island is in the territory of Honduras (which is disputed), and then goes on to correctly recognize that the maritime border of Honduras and El Salvador have yet to be fully recognized.

Conejo Island has recently been occupied by Honduran military forces. The issue of whether it belongs to Honduras or El Salvador has been front page news in both countries during the past several weeks.

It is recommended that:

1) The statement that Conejo Island is in Honduran territory be omitted.

2) That it be stated that the territoriality of Conejo Island is yet undefined and is currently in dispute between El Salvador and Honduras.

3) That reference be made to recent events: the military occupation of the island by Honduras, and opinions published by the presidents a of Honduras and El Salvador. There is a growing body of pertinent opinions which have been voiced by statesmen in both countries.190.62.184.231 (talk) 17:29, 26 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
