No "pro-Soviet hardliners reconstituted themselves", they just continued as members of the Communist Party of Estonian that was a regional unit of the CPSU. The ones that reconstituted themselves were the communists that declared the Estonian CP independent from CPSU--Termer (talk) 01:14, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- It's not that simple, though. For example, the DLPE, i.e. successor of the 'independent' CPE, got some properties in 1990s that had formerly belonged to the ruling CPE, then branch of the CPSU. So in a way the old CPE continued and reformed itself, the pro-Soviet commies indeed reconstituted themselves, since their faction was so small at the time and it was not regarded as a continuation of the old CPE in 1990-1991. 90.190.166.173 (talk) 17:20, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
