I have improved the introduction and removed the Context tag since I hope there is now enough context. I also changed the Interviews section which was written in the second person. I think the article could still benefit from some careful attention, as it reads more like an advertisement for the exam than like an encyclopedia article. The references could be improved and perhaps there might be a section on the history of the exam? Educres (talk) 13:40, 20 November 2009 (UTC) There are many "independent senior schools" that are not "public schools" and many "independent junior schools" that are not "preparatory schools". Generally, it is only public schools and prep schools that use Common Entrance, not the other independent schools (which more often set their own exams). Therefore, I think it is best to use those terms. I have added an indication that both are types of independent school in the hope that that clarifies. Educres (talk) 11:36, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Personally, I think that the Criticism paragraph is biased. Unless references can be cited to support the author's assertion, this paragraph should be removed.Paul C Goddard (talk) 12:36, 31 May 2014 (UTC)

Merger proposal

I propose that Independent Schools Examinations Board be merged into Common Entrance Examination (or vice-versa). The (very little) content in the ISEB article could easily be explaoined in the context of the CEE article, or it might be considered that the ISEB should be the parent article.
