The company is not defunct, but is currently making sailing yachts in southern California. I believe the company was revived by Valdez' son in about 2004-2005. He began with the debut in 2005 of a Columbia 30 Sport Sailor. They have two different yacht models, a 25 and 32 footer, on the market today.
