Colorado Women of Achievement edit

There appears to have been a short-lived recognition program before the hall of fame was introduced in 1965 called the Colorado Women of Achievement awards The first three inductees in 1966 were Verona Burkhard, Jo Eleanor Elliott and Sister Frances Marie Walsh. In 1967 the inductees were Sabina O’Malley, Elizabeth McAulliffe Calabrese, and Genevieve Fiore (Genevieve Natalina D’Amato Fiore). In 1968 the inductees were Rena Mary Taylor, Marion M. Maresh, Mrs. E. Ray Campbell and two life recipients Mary M. McDonald and Ella Matty Orman. In 1969 the recipients were Anna M. Garnett, Betty Pellet, Margaret Rossi, and Ruby Lewis Neal was a life recipient. Appears it only lasted for four years. I propose that we add them to the history section of this article, as there is insufficient information for a separate article. Anyone disagree? @Maile66, Megalibrarygirl, and Rosiestep:? I want to write about Fiore for the UN editathon, as she worked with UNESCO in the 1940s. SusunW (talk) 23:13, 22 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Updates thru 2018 edit

What's new:

  • Adding Women in Red project to the above header. WIR exists to turn red links into blue, expanding the coverage of women on Wikipedia.
  • New method when adding nominations is Alpha within Year, rather than just a straight alphabetical listing. In that way, each new group of inductees can just be dropped into the top of the list, rather than the hassle of trying to interweave individual names into the entire list. Viewers can always sort by names or other columns.

Anybody can edit this list. Anybody can update it. Happy editing — Maile (talk) 02:27, 6 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
