Code Lyoko on iTunes

Is it worth mentioning that Code Lyoko will be on iTunes by the end of the year? Someone was able to get official confirmation from MoonScoop about it as well as info about the novels and the MMO:http://s583.photobucket.com/albums/ss271/SearchingLyoko/?action=view&current=Godlysearching.jpg.

As I said to the guy who posted that image of an email, an email is not a reliable source. An official statement, such as one on either iTunes or Moonscoop, solidly confirming the fact would be acceptable. That image by itself is not. — Trust not the Penguin (T | C) 00:45, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Excuse me? Do you not trust me? I am perfectly trustworthy.

And it is not me alone that recieved this letter. This WAS their version of an official press release. It was not solely released to me, but also to Codelyoko.fr and a Spanish site whose link I do not currently have.

Considering the e-mail at the end is from @moonscoop.com and that there's another one from David DiLorenzo http://www.moonscoop.com/contact-132.html well I think that's as good as it gets my friend.

It has nothing to do with trusting you, it has to do with it being a reliable source. An email, no matter who sent it, does not qualify as such. It is not an official press release in any sense of the term (look up what that means). David DiLorenzo is the VP of Consumer Products and Marketing, and thus does not control when or even if the show will be renewed. He's in a better position than most to know, but his email alone is not a reliable claim to it happening. An official press release (again, look that up) is a reliable source. And so I suppose that a letter signed by one of the Di Sabatino Brothers and Nicolas Atlan, two of the most influential figures in Cartoon Network, do not classify as reliable source? Ah well, when I turn out to be correct I will return and post the verifiable source, as well as a note that a certain SearchingLyoko knew of this before the PR was released (and this page in itself is that source).

Those people you mention do not influence Cartoon Network. They are part of a different company. Code Lyoko licenses their product to be aired on their network. It's actually even more complicated than that, but I'd rather not get into it. You should at least take the time to understand who's responsible for what before getting all put off about supposedly being right. And still, no amount of talking is going to get around the fact that you need a reliable source. No signed letters, no emails, but a valid and easily referenced press release confirming beyond a shadow of a doubt it's gonna happen. That doesn't exist, and until it does you might as well drop the issue. Oh, and any attempt to brag on the main page about being right will be quickly deleted. Code Lyoko Return for 5th Season/iTunes

With all due respect, please stop adding the claim about a fifth season to the article until you find said proof. I looked through the Code Lyoko website, as well as the Moonscoop website. Neither mentioned a fifth season. A Google search only returned forum posts.

However, there is still no source for it - and since it's not available on iTunes everywhere, "go check" is not an option for many of us. At the very least, some sourced information about where it is available (North America? France?) would be useful. If it makes you feel any better, I found it on the US iTunes. All 26 episodes. Unfortunately, I can't find any suitable press release because Moonscoop's breaking news and Code Lyoko news pages have mysteriously disappeared...hmmm...

It merely being on iTunes is confirmation enough. Anyone in the US at least can check that fact with relative ease. To the MMO, no, a video is not proof. All that proves is they at least did some work on, not that they'll ever release it. As always, the standard for inclusion remains. I try to see the part about lyoko it redirects to here it tells nothing about lyoko try clicking on ice sector it takes you to code lyoko.

Spelling of Names

It's worth noting that this article makes use of a couple the common misspellings involved in Code Lyoko. Here is an example of the wrong versions contrasted with the established correct forms:

• "Jeremie" is misspelled here as "Jeremy." The correct spelling is "Jeremie" as seen in the show itself. Americans tried to spell it as "Jeremy" becuase that's how our version of the name is spelled.
• "XANA" is listed as "Xana." The official website clearly spells it as "XANA," along with just about everyone who knows anything about Code Lyoko.

These are common mistakes, thoug, just thought I'd point it out here before I fix it all EVERYWHERE.

Although the second link is just a fan site, the name is spelled as XANA (sometimes X.A.N.A.) on official sites like Kabillion, same with Jeremie. It's the official spelling on both the English and French versions; therefore, they should be spelled that way on the article.

I've noticed that “Lyoko” now redirects to “Code Lyoko” ; wasn't there an article on Lyoko? (NB: I'm referring to the fictional virtual world)—

On the official Code Lyoko website, it mentions something about something new coming in 2012: http://www.codelyoko.com/

The show's facebook page also says that it's a new 26 episode series: http://www.facebook.com/CodeLyoko. Should we write about it or wait for more info.

Hey. I've recently been fixing up the article all over, such as adding citations where needed and merging the Lyoko article as decided three months ago. If anyone has any ideas on how to improve the article further, feel free to say, or even do, something. Cleaning up (part 2?)

Now that Season 5 exists and various other elements related to Code Lyoko: Evolution are coming out of the woodwork, I'm doing some late fall cleaning on this article. Just ignore this document, it was never released publicly. It was discovered by fans one year ago, long time before the announcement of Evolution. That's what I was thinking, but at the same time they're alluding to a lot of the changes in it. Their Facebook post, for instance, says "like you've never seen them before." French title

Since this is originally a French cartoon I think it would be appropriate to list the original title in French, much as we do list the title in kanji for Japanese works.

I am not really sure what it is though. I was trying to find mention of the series in this article and it does seem to probably be there since there is discussion of Thomas Romain but I'm not sure which part is the series. I think possible even in French it would have been called "Garage Kids" even though those are English words?

Chinese version?

There is brief mentions about the show airing in China (prior to airing in France!) and being produced, to some extent, in China. Personally, I've seen some sourceless fan claims that portions of the 2D animation were outsourced to China, but nothing otherwise.
