Talk:Cochise (song)

Latest comment: 7 years ago by JonathonReinhart in topic Intro

Cochise is very different from Wake Up and Kashmir... someone obviously hates this band enough to edit something as a baseless as critics and fans strongly questioning their originality. The fact that they're still around and critically acclaimed is evidence to the contrary. Also, the vocal melody is not identical to Whole Lotta Love. 66.41.62.136 20:42, 13 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

hmmm i would agree that is sounds alot like rage, but that is merely because all the musicians are from rage... as for the led zep comments, well accually musically speaking it is not at all like the song whole lotta love. musically speaking yes the rythem is very similar, however the mealody is different! notes are what defines music, along with tempo, rythem, etc. so i would have to say that even though iam a huge fan of rage, the article is a little biased agaisnt audioslave.

a better way to say it would be "some say that..."--Pyrodiablo 20:49, 22 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

I removed this: ' The song does sound quite similar, mostly the riff, to Led Zeppelin's song The Ocean.', partly because that's written horribly, but mainly because it's completely false. 'Cochise' sounds absolutely nothing like 'The Ocean', and I don't know where that idea came from. 81.149.205.130 (talk) 23:06, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Censorship edit

I have this music video on DVD in a "Director's Cut" format. Has the video for this song raised any issues? Yes, I know it raised some issues when it was being filmed. Any issues when it was on TV? Might've been censored because of the flashing lights or something... - Ndrly 02:09, 31 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Cochise blackcover single front.jpg edit

Image:Cochise blackcover single front.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:22, 2 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think that it sound's like led zeppelin and deep purple

Intro edit

The intro uses the same choppy, roller-coaster-lift-hill-sounding, delay effect as Rage's "The Ghost of Tom Joad" (of course, because Tom Morello loves the Digitech Whammy pedal). JonathonReinhart (talk) 01:08, 17 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
