The school's offical web site seems to use the logo identified here as the 2006 logo. Is there any evidence that the "2014" logo (which is identified as "own work" by the uploader) is actually the current official logo of the school? DES (talk) 13:46, 16 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello,
I understand what you are saying. The 2014 Logo is set to be presented from September 2014. But for now the logo is still the 2006 logo. From September 2014, the logo will change so hopefully also the website logo will change too, because that is the new logo for 2014 as it also links in with the partnership with Wickersley School and Sports College.

That is good to know. Is there any citable reliable source that indicates the decision to change the Logo? Also, Joe Parkinson, you uploaded File:Clifton Community School Logo - September 2014.png and labeled it "own work". Did you create this logo? If so did you intent to allow anyone to make modified versions of it for any purpose? Note that if someone else created the logo but you scanned it or re-drew it, it is not your "own work' for copyright purposes. DES (talk) 14:11, 16 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello,

At the moment there isn't any reliable source that indicates the decision to change the Logo. You can change it back to the 2006 and when it comes close to the time and the school website has the new September 2014 logo then you can change it. Also I made a mistake the File:Clifton Community School Logo - September 2014.png that I uploaded isn't mine it is the school 2014 logo. I am new to Wikipedia creating pages, so I don't know how to change it. Do I have to re-upload it again and change the source creator. Can you help me and provide me some advice/feedback.

I am happy to offer help and advice. It will need to be re-uploaded, and since it isn't under a free license (unless the school has a most unusual policy) it will need to be uploaded in a different place (en.Wikipedia, not Wikimedia commons) with the tag {{Non-free logo}}. I can do that on your behalf, but I will need a source to list -- where did you get the new logo? Alternatively, it could be left off and only uploaded after the school's web site changes. Don't worry about making mistakes, all of us make plenty. you should see the messages I got when i started editing Wikipedia. (Actually if you want to they are at User talk:DESiegel/archive1). Oh, do please sign talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~ in future. The software will convert this to your signature and a time-stamp. DES (talk) 15:18, 16 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
