Guitar Hero - Cover?

Not sure if it's a 'cover' version on GH3, as stated in the text. I can't hear any difference between the studio version of Cliffs of Dover and the one played on GH3. Since most of the songs on GH3 feature original tracks, it would seem odd that this one wasn't.

I know the track used in guitar hero is not a master recording, [[1]] but i have seen no evidence to suggest it is a cover. Could we change it, until we get some citation? I's also like to point out it is one of the only two songs in the whole game to not be accompanied by lyrics. A cover for this instrumental would have the backing track playing leaving the guitar being the instrument that is to be played. I'm not exactly sure what else it would be. Guitar Hero indicates a cover with the phrase "as made famous by": http://guitarhero.wikia.com/wiki/Cover_Version Regarding there being no difference, H3VTux on Youtube said "Does anybody know who played this version? It definitely isn't the one on Eric Johnson's album. I've found no information on this song being a cover version in Guitar Hero III, so I removed this claim from the article. If anyone has found evidence that I was not able to, please reference it when you revert it back. Thankyou Pappy uk (talk) 16:08, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Song structure and technical details

I've found info on song very inconsistent. Below the chapter called "Song Structure" mainly involves nit picking and hair splitting details of his guitar and equipment as such, and extremely little (if any) about the song structure. No such details are given to the other instruments at all. Poor grammar proof reading too. I can't edit it, because I don't know the ins and and outs of music theory, and how a song structure should be represented. MatsOrbation (talk) 16:43, 10 February 2015 (UTC)

Guitar used in the recording

None of the references listed cite that a ES-335 was used on the Ah Via Musicom Recording. The Guitar Player reference specifically cites that a Stratocaster was used, not a ES-335. I believe I read or saw an interview where he says that he plays a strat, except for the few bars that sound differently - those were overdubbed with an ES-335. It sure sounds like a strat to me (for the main part). Bubba73 ^{You talkin' to me?} 02:04, 12 March 2015 (UTC)

Song structure?

Although it does affect the song sound, it has nothing to do with structure. There are major problems with this section including incomplete sentences and some that read like advertisements. It should be removed and then re-written. I don't know enough about music theory to help here however. Stevetauber (talk) 16:09, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
