Megabytes need love too edit
The example of 128MB vs. 256MB of memory seems to ignore the fact that a megabyte is a measure of quantity as well as quality. That is, what is the relative quality between 512KB and 1MB? Thus the doubling of the utility of 128MB requires 16 petabytes, or 2^54 bytes. I leave it as an exercise for the interested student what would be required to double the utility of a vehicle, given the parameters of capacity, top speed in miles per hour, and cost per mile. Diminishing marginal utility edit
