metric vs. US measure

seeing as how this is an article about a US city, im going to change the measurements to have the US measure read first this will also help the next sentence where it is as it should be Osmo250 (talk) 07:44, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

Foreign Trade Zone

Does anyone have any sources to back up the US Foreign trade zone claim? I checked the list of US Foreign trade zones provided in the relevant wiki article and didn't see any reference to the City of Industry. --chemica (talk) 10:13, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

I couldn't find City of Industry on the Department of Commerce's website; however, the city's website does indicate that 500 acres are in a FTZ. http://www.cityofindustry.org/page.php?14 Bmlb (talk) 09:10, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

Population

A city of 777 people? We'd call that a village over here! :) --kingboyk 17:27, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

The low population is due to Zoning: 92% is Industrial, 8% is Commercial. The City of Industry is home to over 2,200 businesses, employing more than 80,000 people. It is truly a city of industry. Brien Clark 23:00, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
It's a "city" because it's incorporated as such under California law and was specifically developed to *avoid* most residential neighborhoods. If you look at a map of the city boundaries, it looks like an octopus, as it mostly follows rail lines and major highways. The whole point of the city from its inception was to create the ultimate business-friendly city with exceptionally low taxes and yet high services catered to businesses and not homeowners.EmjayMiller (talk) 00:22, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
Exactly. Remember that a city's population is just the people that live there. People from other cities may visit, increasing the people inside the city limits drastically. Washington, D.C. is an example of this. Illegitimate Barrister (talk) 17:17, 21 March 2013 (UTC)

Corruption

Doesn't City of Industry wiki warrant a section on its long history of corruption? The setting of Vinci in the second season of True Detective has to be based on Industry/Vernon, given the analogues in municipal corruption allegation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.119.98.53 (talk) 02:07, 30 June 2015 (UTC)

Stadium

Made an edit to the page because the football stadium is now going to be Inglewood instead of Industry, CA. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Discocrisco (talkcontribs) 22:01, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
