The attribution Myrdal's cumulative causation to 1956 cannot be right because he makes use of it in An American Dilemma, published in 1944. The "pure theory" is discussed in appendix 3, wherein Myrdal refers the reader to his 1939 Monetary equilibrium --- published in Swedish in 1931 --- for "a simplified model of cumulative economic causation". 209.2.226.86 (talk) 16:44, 26 October 2016 (UTC)
