Contradiction

This article appears to contradict itself. It first claims that Chironex fleckeri in not a "true" jellyfish, but refers to it as such throughout the article. Iepeulas 22:16, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Speculation

At the end of the article, an author states, "Estimates vary, but it is thought that Chironex fleckeri has killed about one hundred people in Australia over the past one hundred years, making it possibly the most dangerous species of jellyfish in the world."

In fact at least one more deadly jellyfish exists, Irakanji. Iepeulas 22:16, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

It's Irukandji and yes it might be more deadlier but it doesn't have such a death toll.

"more deadlier"? Far, far more painful, but not "more deadlier." Contradiction

The english page says that the box jellyfish has 4 groups of 6 eyes, thus 24 total eyes. The article also says that scientists aren't sure how well it can see. The German page also says that the box jellyfish has 24 eyes, but 16 can distinguish light and dark and 8 lenses that see very clearly. Unclear Wording

On a note related to the contradiction above, the English version says "four eye-clusters with twenty-four eyes" - it is unclear from the construction of the sentence if that means four clusters with 6 eyes each (totalling 24), or four clusters of 24 eyes each. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.171.16.7 (talk) 04:02, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

Not actually jellyfish

As far as I know, box jellies aren't jellyfish, although they are closely related. Can anyone else with more qualifications than me confirm or deny this? -MaxWinsForever (talk) 01:47, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
