More info needed - anybody here? edit

I believe the Model D was a Scripps-Booth and that the V8 was actually designed by Mason or Sterling. If nobody else is working on this I can research and edit - when I have some time.
Comments and input appreciated by those following. Toneron2 (talk) 00:19, 20 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Quick research shows that in fact the Model D was a re-badged Scripps-Booth but that the V8 was designed by Ferro[1]. Will do more. Toneron2 (talk) 00:36, 20 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

It appears that Alanson Brush designed the block for the Ferro foundry which was used by a number of brands[2].
The Scripps-Booth heads[3]look different than the Mason(?) designed heads for the Chevrolet[4] but the blocks appear identical.
Must be a fascinating story here! Toneron2 (talk) 03:04, 20 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Found confirmation that Mason designed and Ferro built the Series D's V8[5]. Pictures of both S-B and Chevrolet monoblocks show that they are nearly identical which makes sense since both were Ferro. Mason designed the heads which are different than S-B heads which were innovative having rocker adjustment integral with the rocker cover. Mason's are more typical.
