Hamster Cheek Pouches edit

Wikipedia articles generally say that the hamster's cheek pouches reach only to the shoulder. But it appears that in some hamsters, they go all the way to the hips. See BBC Youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbYBGKSxyac where they show this via xray. Wiki20112 (talk) 04:00, 16 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Edit Proposal edit

Over the course of our investigative dissection of the rat, we can elaborate on the microscopic and macroscopic morphologies of the rodent cheek pouch. Concerning the former we can delineate the constituent cell types (e.g. epithelial composition) of the structure, utilizing the following reference sources:

Evolutionary History Proposal edit

During the course of our dissection of the rat, we would like to possibly include an additional heading pertaining to the evolutionary history of the cheek pouch (specifically the rat). Here is a possible source from where we can begin deriving our information: Ryan, J.M. 1989. Evolution of cheek pouches in African pouched rats (Rodentia: Cricetomyinae).
