Times website of week fact unverifiable edit
I failed in trying to resolve the following dead link. I can simply find no support for this web citation's existence, as it appeared, or for the historical fact it was attached to (published Times plaudit). The link is a deadlink, and no independent verification could be found for the statement—at this indicated set of web pages (i.e., at the softskull site), or the whole of the Times site, each searched many ways—at these sources or anywhere else.
The closest that could be found was an Anders article at the softskull site, with a self-prepared bio which likewise stated the Times plaudit:

- Wayback machine shows this page from the actual website - https://web.archive.org/web/20060319144358/http://www.godhatesfigs.com/awards.html - which says "We were the "site of the week" in the August 6, 2000 Sunday Times of London." - but wayback machine doesn't go that far back on the Sunday Times website. -- Beardo (talk) 13:50, 11 June 2023 (UTC)

- Here's a reliable source to support the statement that Charles Anders, crossdresser, was partners with Annalee Newitz in 2002. We also have reliable sources to support the statement that Charlie Jane Anders is transgender, and thus formerly had a male identity. And we also' have sources to support the statement that Charlie Jane Anders is partners with Annalee Newitz. Or if you think that's too much synthesis, try this, which is however perhaps not as old as you'd like. DS (talk) 20:11, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
Transsexual edit
The article rather dances around, but never quite manages to actually state, the fact that Charlie Anders/Charlie Jane Anders is transsexual. Doesn't this rate at least a sentence? Or is there a policy at Wikipedia not to mention such facts? 50.200.245.134 (talk) 03:46, 5 July 2017 (UTC)

Bibliography edit
I have commenced a tidy-up of the Bibliography section using cite templates and tables for short stories, poems and/or book reviews. Capitalization and punctuation follow standard cataloguing rules in AACR2 and RDA, as much as Wikipedia templates allow it. ISBNs and other persistent identifiers, where available, are commented out, but still available for reference. This is a work in progress; feel free to continue. - There is a lot more short fiction than mentioned here - but if we include that in the table form, that could end up dominating the article. Perhaps the list of shorter fiction is better moved into a separate article ?

Removal of irrelevant source edit
This is an archived source that was cited, along with another source, in the Career section after: "Anders co-founded Other magazine, the "magazine of pop culture and politics for the new outcasts", with Annalee Newitz. Anders served as publisher during the magazine's run from 2002 to 2007."
Just didn't want this source to be lost to the ages, but I couldn't find anything in it related to the article. Kirby777 (talk) 21:44, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

Who was 'she' born as ?
As a trans-women, there's a pre trans history that many are interested in. Yet in all the online places I've looked, it kind of appears that 'she' is hiding something since there is no pre-trans info.

- The incomplete nature of the historical record means that full biographical details on every person who ever lived are not available.
- If no one has been interested enough to write a biography of Charlie Jane pre-transition ("Charlie Jane Anders was born as an incontinent baby"?), then Wikipedia can't have that information. DS (talk) 13:48, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
