Blueberry and Banana flavors? edit

I can't find any references to Charleston Chews having a blueberry flavor now or ever for that matter. Same with banana. The closest I've found was a couple of blogs, none of which give any information as to when charleston chews may have been in those flavors. I have found information on a similar product: Bonomos Turkish Taffy, which did have a banana flavor. Can anyone else provide some information on the history of this candy bar, and perhaps give some confirmation as to whether or not CC's actually ever had these two flavors? 66.191.19.33 (talk) 00:08, 25 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'm trying to track down an ad from the 1970s where singing and piano-playing kids called Charleston Chew "The Biggie" and pointed out at the end: "Now in six delicious flavors!" (I remember it pretty clearly from childhood, but can't find it anywhere online.) 50.46.149.228 (talk) 02:33, 20 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Category duplication edit

This article is listed in both Category:Chocolate bars and its parent Category:Candy bars. Per WP:SUBCAT, it should only be listed in the more specific category.--Trystan (talk) 13:33, 11 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

I see you have removed Category:Chocolate bars and kept the parent Category:Candy bars, and just wanted to confirm this is the best match. The scope of Category:Chocolate bars includes Snickers-style products that include chocolate and other ingredients. I note that the description in the article refers to a “chocolate-flavor coating” and the website refers to a “rich, chocolaty coating”, which I am assuming are indirect ways of saying that it doesn’t actually contain chocolate.--Trystan (talk) 23:25, 11 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
On further research, this product has vegetable oil in place of cocoa butter, and thus would contain what is referred to as compound chocolate rather than true chocolate. I agree with placing it in the candy bar category rather than the chocolate bar category.--Trystan (talk) 03:59, 12 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
