Charles de Gaulle – Étoile (Paris Métro and RER)Charles de Gaulle – Étoile – No namesake articles, so no disambiguator needed – Midas02 (talk) 01:16, 7 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose - whether there's another namesake article is irrelevant, see WP:DAB; are there no other topics? In ictu oculi (talk) 04:29, 7 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
Frommer's suggests that the square above the metro is also known as Charles de Gaulle – Étoile Hence Place Charles de Gaulle-Étoile exists as another topic with the same name and place. In ictu oculi (talk) 07:08, 10 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
Good point wouldn't want to inconvenience the American tourists. Luckily, Wikipedia has hatnotes for just that purpose. I'll add one now.  AjaxSmack  10:24, 10 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
In ictu oculi, you're talking nonsense, and are using other nonsense to justify it. WP/DAB has nothing to do with the naming of articles, the guidelines for the naming of articles do. So please indicate where WP/DAB would be relevant, cause mere mentioning it will not do. As per the naming guidelines, unless there are namesake articles, or articles that could be called by that name, there is no reason for disambiguating.
As for the Frommer's argument. The ... what? What is Frommer's? An American guide, so they decide on what French streetnames are called? Just to be clear, the above mentioned place is called Place de l'Etoile in everyday use. Although the official name has become Place CDG, but it's still called by its former name. Maybe, just maybe, the old name is still co-official as well, would need to look it up. But never, ever, was that place called CDG-Etoile. Never. The hatnote is therefore inappropriate as well, the reference to the square is already mentioned in the article. --Midas02 (talk) 15:29, 10 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
See WP:TRUTH even if Frommer's is wrong to say Charles de Gaulle – Étoile is used of the square as well as the subway underneath it, Frommer's is still WP:RS. And don't please throw around "nonsense" or I may resort to posting you a kitten on your User Talk page. In ictu oculi (talk) 05:26, 11 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
