The result of the move request was: moved. Charles Cavendish (general, died 1643) chosen per WP:OTHEROPTIONS, there is consensus to move but not for a specific title. Chosen as Category:People killed in the English Civil War and Category:English generals have a few entries using "died" and none with "born", but if another disambiguator is desired, a new RM can be opened. Charles Cavendish (general) → Charles Cavendish (general, died 1643) – Charles Cavendish (Nottingham MP) and Charles Cavendish, 3rd Baron Chesham were both generals, and I see nothing to suggest that this particular subject is due any predominance over the other two. Move this article and redirect the current title to the disambiguation page, Charles Cavendish. BD2412 T 05:56, 14 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Support either this or Charles Cavendish (general, born 1620). Usually we prefer DOB over DOD, but I can see the value of the date of death in his case given he was killed in action. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:27, 20 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
