Sequard was a moralist inspired by Egyptian medicine such as the use of bodily fluids like sperm or breastmilk in cures. Circumcision of egyptian orgin (ancient egytian medicine) practiced by priests of medicine probably require celabacy. Variation from strict medical laws of the pharohs caried the penalty of death.Reply
