Pls clarify 1936 v 1958, CCC vs Forest service, existing, lateral well edit

It's a little unclear (at least to me) who built these facilities and when. It was probably US Forest Service in 1958, but possibly CCC in 1936.

One also wonders why the text specifies existing firehouse and barracks. Have the information center and water system been demolished?

Is a separate article desirable on lateral wells? One can infer the meaning of the phrase from its constituent words, but more explanation here or in another article could clarify things a bit.
