"the only full time classical vocal ensemble in the United States" - are we sure about that one? Seems a bit iffy to me. JavaTenor 19:32, 27 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

"the only full time men's vocal group" edit

Chanticleer and Cantus are the only full time men's vocal ensembles. Chanticleer is not the only however...[1] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.71.255.118 (talk) 17:14, 8 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

an all-male ensemble, as it was traditionally sung during the Renaissance period. edit

This sentence, as is, is FALSE. It was true for sacred music, but not for secular!! In the italian courts many performers (and even some composers) were women. And the printed production (even outside Italy, I guess) that was intended not for public performance, but for the private use of the musically acknowledged people, was sung also by women, in the not so uncommon case that they had received musical education.

Link in Reference #3 to the Chanticleer website page for "Let it snow" is broken. Should be: http://www.chanticleer.org/index.php/music/christmas/let-it-snow.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by TXlogic (talkcontribs) 09:04, 8 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Request for Comment: New WikiProject for A Cappella-related articles edit

Hi there! To any and all interested: I've proposed a WikiProject dedicated to a cappella. This would be a group of editors interested in improving the quality of articles related to a cappella. If you're passionate about a cappella—ranging from the Pentatonix to groups like Chanticleer, or perhaps pop culture representations like Pitch Perfect and The Sing-Off—please check out the proposal and share your thoughts!

Here's a link to the proposal for WikiProject A Cappella.

If you could see yourself contributing to an article related to a cappella (like this one), please consider joining!

List of music directors needed edit

The history section needs to give a full list of Chanticleer's music directors, and their years in service. Bhami (talk) 21:59, 28 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
