Before adding any more information please explain in the opening sentences of the article what Championship Week is. We have to read half the article before even getting a hint of what sport you are writing about. Phil Bridger (talk) 14:56, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Don't know if this is what your looking for, but its basically all the conference tournament games under the ESPN brand. If you think of a better way of phrasing it, feel free to edit it.--Levineps (talk) 15:17, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

The article doesn't even mention what sport is being covered until you get several paragraphs in. Powers T 15:54, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Again, feel free to make this article better! I want teamwork!--Levineps (talk) 16:56, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
It's a bit difficult for anyone to help write this unless you first make it clear what this is. Put yourself in the position of somebody who doesn't live in the United States and knows little about basketball and read your opening paragraph. Do you think that that person would know from that what this is? It tells us a few things about Champions Week like how long it lasts and when it happens but that information isn't very useful unless we know the basic facts about what it is. I can only guess whether this is accurate, so I won't edit it into the article, but it needs an opening sentence something like "Championship Week is the name given to a series of televised college basketball matches in the United States". I don't know what it is; I have no way of making the article better because I don't know what it's about. Powers T 22:53, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Significance edit

The reference provided for the article does not support the text in the article. The reference makes no mention of "mid-major" or "minor" conferences, nor does it say that "Championship Week" is "bigger" than the NCAA Tournament. It also says nothing about some teams facing "overwhelming" odds in their first round matchup. And being said by a single person in a four paragraph portion of a column isn't "some arguing" either, it's one person mentioning. The entire section should be removed, IMO. — X96lee15 (talk) 23:41, 11 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
