From 1964 to 1974, The Central States Football League (CSFL) was a semi-professional football league with teams located in Wisconsin and Illinois. For much of its history the northern division was made up of the Madison Mustangs, Manitowoc Chiefs, Sheboygan Redwings and West Allis Spartans. The southern division was made up of the Racine Raiders, Rockford Rams, Delevan Red Devils and the Lake County Rifles. Two other teams from the early years of the league were the Elmhurst Travelers and the Chicago Panthers.
