Articles under heading CIA activities in country X should have, on a historical basis, entries that are identified as:

• Intelligence estimate: What the CIA said in an NIE or published report about country X at a certain time, example CIA activities in the Soviet Union#Soviet Union 1959
• Covert action, CIA activities in Vietnam#Vietnam 1954
• Clandestine collection, CIA activities in the Soviet Union#Soviet Union 1959
• Counterintelligence, example CIA activities in the Soviet Union#Soviet Union 1954
• Psychological operations, example CIA activities in Vietnam#Vietnam 1969. Psychological operations should be identified as Black, Gray or White, following the classification in Psychological operations (United States).
