I removed the courses primarily because just about every Memphis city school has these courses. so if you wish to list the courses, you can place it in that article. I think that you should only list courses on the central high school page, if its notable to mention because its different than every school in the area.

If we list every course in every high school, we will immense amounts of redundant information for example. every high school in Memphis, is going to be teaching Freshman English, or Algebra I, that information isnt notable enough to place into the article. but if CHS offered abstract modern dance (it's an example), then maybe it would be notable enough to place. Inaccuracies in this article

This article about Central High contains some inaccuracies:

Central is not the successor to Memphis High School - no more so, than any other high school in Memphis.

Central, along with the new Memphis Vocation High School both opened in September of 1911. So Central's claim of being the "first" high school is not valid.

Central was not a continuation of the Memphis High School. The Memphis High School name was only used when there was ONE high school in Memphis. The Board of Education was keenly aware that the city was growing and that new high schools would be needed in all parts of the city. Their plan was to start with one new school in a central location and name it Central High. At the same time, the board closed out and stopped using Memphis High School as a name because there would never again be just ONE Memphis high school. Central High was not a name change. It was a newly created school. Central was a new school and dates from 1911 - PERIOD

In addition, the Memphis Board of Education created the new Memphis Vocational High School specifically at the same time as they created Central High "to take the load off the new Central so they wouldn't have to build a new building for some time" . Thus the new Central High and the new Vocational High Schools both opened in September of 1911.

Central opened in a new building. The Memphis Vocational High School opened in the Poplar Avenue Building that became vacant when Memphis High School closed. Before deciding to locate the Vocational High in this building, the board even discussed building a new building to house it on one of the corners of the site of the Central building. They also discussed building a separate Vocational High School long before they planned to build Central High.
