Irpen's edits edit

While I generally agree with Irpen's latest edit summary, in which he suggests to keep events of marginal importance in separate articles, there is a tiny but. I don't agree with his interpretation of what is important and what is not. To me the two facts he removed seem of crucial importance: the fact that the Poles won the war and repelled the Ukrainian aggression allowed that cemetery to be constructed at all. Without the victory there would be no cemetery. The other fact Irpen removed (Polish support) seems crucial as well, since this indeed was when the situation changed. //Halibutt 09:21, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
I'd also note that this 'irrelevant' fact is noted by both Polish and Ukrainian references, which for some reason apparently don't consider it irrelevant: Warsaw Voice: The recent change of the political situation in Ukraine and Poland’s support for the Orange Revolution made Ukrainian politicians treat many controversial issues, including the Eaglets’ Cemetery, more favorably.; National Radio Company of Ukraine The deputies set June 24 as the date to inaugurate the cemetery, taking into account the need to conclusively reconciliate Ukrainian and Polish war veterans and Poland's support for the orange revolution in Ukraine. -- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  14:06, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

B-class review edit

I've added a missing ref, and I think this article passes B-class criteria. As a major contributor, I'll ask for another review (from the MILHIST project), and till then, the WP:POLAND assessment will match MILHIST. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 22:57, 4 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
