Has Caulerpa really been eradicated from Southern California? (as stated below) This seems unlikely. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.210.86.247 (talk) 01:51, 18 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Citation Tags edit

I've added both the refimprove and morefootnotes tags to this article. There is currently only one reference (Guiry & Guiry) and one item for "further reading" (Jacobs), and only one inline citation (for the number of species). I heard about Caulerpa for the first time less than five minutes before visiting this page to learn more, so I don't think I'm qualified to find and judge appropriate references. There are four external links. Could someone with knowledge in this area comment on whether these are appropriate references?

There are also some confusing parts of the page. I wondered the same thing as the unsigned comment from April 2010, and also whether Caulerpa had been eradicated only from southern California, or from the Mediterranean and Australia as well. YardsGreen (talk) 12:46, 27 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

date of discovery and importance of the species edit

dang this page is not well done * specifically it would be nice to know the date that it was realized that this cutie was one cell * the issues are that it contradicts the previous theories on nutritiant transport minimum distance defining the size of single cells * also how they evolved * i vaguely recal a *science* cover story on this organism * 173.9.46.137 (talk) 15:10, 2 June 2011 (UTC)grumpyReply
