Nuclear waste section edit

This is to note that I have observed that editor JMFuller added tags to this section in May 2014, in part, stating that the neutrality is disputed and that it may not conform to Wiki's standards. The information was added to the article in 2010 by an anonymous editor. In order to improve and support the information, I have taken to providing references and citations. I have also already edited out some information that is unnecessary in regard to the article being on Wikipedia. I do, however, believe that the information is important and as much of it as necessary should be included. While I did not originally include this section of information, it is extremely relevant and should be maintained. I remember when this was all a really big issue - high level nuclear waste in our backyards and in our creeks. There was quite an uproar about it, but NYS and federal regulatory agencies tried to downplay it as much as possible - note the name for it, the "West Valley Demonstration Project. This term is very misleading to the general public, many of whom are unaware of it and/or who have forgotten its seriousness. So, I have made some improvements, and will return to make more, though much of the current information should also be included in the West Valley, New York Wiki articles. For what it's worth, I agree with Daniella and am somewhat perplexed by the cleanup tags (though I didn't see it before the cleanup mentioned above). I grew up in the area, and I remember all of the jokes about the glow-in-the-dark deer, and the general controversy surrounding the shutdown plans for the WVDP. I'd say it would be rare to hear such a mild re-telling of the timeline from any side of the debate, and I would support removal of the cleanup tags, particularly the one regarding the lack of "encyclopedic tone." I would only say that the bulk of the information would be better suited for the West Valley Demonstration Project article, while a briefer summary would appropriate here.
