Catholic-Hierarchy.org is not a reliable source

Below is notice I received on page Talk:Joseph G. Pinten.

Catholic-Hierarchy.org is the personal website of David M. Cheney. The website states "The contents are purely the responsibility of David M. Cheney." This clearly does not meet WP:RS, which states that self-published sources are not acceptable. • I can confirm it is a personal website - it is mine! It is also well respected and is used worldwide. The last stats I see indicate it is currently cited in 9,785 wiki articles (several of which have just taken blocks of my info and pasted it in!).

Note that I have not and will not edit any citations because of the obvious COI. Likewise I will not edit the main body of this article. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask on my talk page. --Dcheney (talk) 04:41, 1 December 2014 (UTC)

The statement about not being a reliable source because self-published does not hold and is is obviously not true. The website has clearly stated sources which could not be more reliable. Just because there is someone who is running a website doesn't mean that they invented the information. The sources are clearly stated and are easily confirmed. It holds true because Wikipedia has a certain definition of WP:RS and this fails it. Also, why are you arguing here and not WP:RSN where there is an active discussion? Elizium23 (talk) 23:59, 3 February 2016 (UTC)
