Talk:Castle Bar Park railway station

Name edit

It should read 'Castlebar Park station', not 'Castle Bar Park Station'. It is named after Castlebar Park Road named itself like a number of street and pub names in Ealing after Castlebar Co Mayo, Ireland, the root of which has nothing to do with a 'Bar' but with the Castle of the Barry family. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.45.151.178 (talk) 15:27, 27 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

That may well be true (and in fact a friend of mine went to nearby Castlebar School); however, per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (UK stations) we go by what the station name boards and timetables show, which is "Castle Bar Park" (see picture at right and Table 117 National Rail timetable, May 2011). So, the article name should remain as it is at present. Of course, if you can persuade Network Rail to rename the station, we can then rename this article. --Redrose64 (talk) 16:06, 27 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
