I went on a class trip to Cuba a few years ago, and I swear that there was a nightclub in the Morro at this point - can anyone confirm or deny this?--198.246.1.84 06:41, 6 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

-This is true. I went with my Cuban friend - it was one of the strangest experiences of my life to dance in a fortress more than twice as old as my country.

Hey there folks, can you remember at what time of the year you went? If you went in February, you may have experienced the closing ceremony of 'La Feria del Libro', that roughly translates to 'The Book Fair', where there is a big party with international D.J.s etc. You also have to consider that it hosts many other events throughout the year too with relevant celebrations. So in answer to your question, there is no nightclub (not in 2009 anyway). Hope this helps. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Doc Brown 145 (talkcontribs) 21:48, 21 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

March 2004. It definitely wasn't a book fair, and there was definitely a bar -- I was at least strongly under the impression that it was within this fortress. I don't think it was any sort of international DJ-level blowout or anything, it just seemed like there was maybe one DJ playing salsa and a bar being danced in with moderately healthy attendance. I could be wrong, but in any case, it was fun!--69.149.227.213 (talk) 23:58, 9 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

I have a reverse painting on glass that is an old fort, stone, beautiful mystic painting, on a rock in the water in front of the fort is the name morro painted on a rock, the only mark I see on the painting, I thought this was the artist but I believe it might be the name of the place in the painting, Morro Castle how could I research this further Foxwolf5 (talk) 21:31, 16 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
