Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter edit

Much more information on this recent title can be obtained here: http://carnivores.wikia.com/wiki/Carnivores:_Dinosaur_Hunter

This title is also available for Android operating systems as it was released recently. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.197.242.103 (talk) 21:36, 12 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Layout of the page edit

I'm not sure who edited the page after me (IP addresses don't tell me much! =D ), but I was intending to have one seperate section for each of the games, with each section having subsections where applicable, and the possibility that each game could be moved to its own page in the near future. Any thoughts?
--Dinoguy1000 Talk 05:25, 7 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

I think there should be a section for the Carnivores:Cityscape game, it might help and also yeah there should be seperate sections for the other Carnivores games too.Johnny542 20:28, 14 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Carnivores: Cityscape, I believe, will get its own section, but I can't be the one to create/maintain it as I know very little of the game. ----Dinoguy1000 Talk 22:53, 21 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Does anyone think there should be screenshots in the article? There are some on the official site, I know, but... --DeadGuy 22:49, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
Screenshots would be pretty good, if you add them, just don't overdo it. ;) BTW, why is the screenshot of the cover of Carnivores: Ice Age named "Featured computer game cover"? (just wondering...) --Dinoguy1000 Talk 17:55, 5 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Just a little absent-minded when I uploaded it, sorry. And my computer shorted out, that's why I'm using my neighbors, and have to sign this message manually. I can't get the screenshots now, someone else will have to. Cheers!-DeadGuy

Stub edit

I would say that this article is now long enough, with enough content, not to be considered a stub. Anyone agree with me? --Dinoguy1000 Talk 18:56, 5 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Merging edit

It has been suggested that the Carnivores Ice Age article be merged with this article. The other one is badly managed with a ton of inaccuracies, so I think we should just delete that article. It is really sloppy. UPDATE -- I edited it a little so it actually stands a chance, Doesn't really have information that we don't have... --Dead Guy 01:37, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, that was me that suggested it. If you're sure that it doesn't have any information that this one doesn't, it can be replaced with a redirect to this page. However, its title is actually miscapitalized - if/when the individual games are split off, the Ice Age section should be moved to Carnivores: Ice Age, not Carnivores: ice age, and the latter should be changed to redirect to the former. --Dinoguy1000 Talk 03:01, 6 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Moving edit

Now that the merge has been handled, this article can be moved to Carnivores (series). If anyone has a comment to make, you've got a little bit, then I'll move the article myself. --Dinoguy1000 Talk 08:58, 7 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Original Carnivores Maps edit

Hi, we need to keep some continuity here, the Carnivores 2 and Ice Age have descriptions for their maps but Carnivores 1 does not... I don't have the game, someone who does can get the in-game descriptions. Thanks!--DeadGuy 05:55, 15 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Kudos to all edit

I would just like to say that this article is progressing wonderfully. I remember when it was just three sections on a puny little Computer Game stub. Thanks to all who helped contributed to the article, but I would also like to point out that this is wikipedia, so any improvements you can add would be great. Mucho Gracias. --DeadGuy 03:24, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Heh, I remember when it was just a redlink with a delete log... Thanks to everyone who'se contributed stuff! P.S. shouldn't it be 'muchas gracias'? Lol, 3 years of Spanish did something, I guess! =D --Dinoguy1000 Talk 05:00, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Split? edit

I would say that each game's section has enough content now to be split off into separate articles. Anyone else agree? --Dinoguy1000 Talk 06:07, 7 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:CarnivoreScr1.jpg edit

Image:CarnivoreScr1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Things To include. edit

My name is Guerrero Lagartija. I am new. There are some things that need to be added to the carnivores cityscape information like a few of the easter eggs. Guerrero Lagartija (talk) 19:17, 12 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Actually, the vast majority of the information on this page – as well as the easter eggs you mentioned as needing to add – is little more than fancruft, and as such, should be removed. I've been meaning to clean this page up for some time now, but just haven't gotten around to it yet. —Dinoguy1000 23:53, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Inclusion of Carnivores Cityscape edit

Should Carnivores Cityscape be included in this article? It is very different compared to the first three games. It is not a hunting game nor is it graphically or in gameplay similar. I would consider it a "spin-off" game rather than a sequel —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.36.162.85 (talk) 12:21, 4 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

This article is about the Carnivores series, not just the Carnivores hunting games. Much as fans might wish they could disown Cityscape, it must still be discussed in this article. ダイノガイ千?!? · Talk⇒Dinoguy1000 02:09, 2 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
