Why use Allmusic? edit

Reading reviews from Allmusic (boldly categorized by Wikipedia as "professional" reviews) all too often leaves the reader wondering what on Earth the review was about. The review of Carnival of Souls must be the best example of a non-review ever to see the light of day. Not only is it way too short; it really just makes it clear that the reviewer hates the album, and makes no effort to make the reader any wiser. What are reviews for - for the potential reader/buyer of an album, or just for the reviewer to get off on something? I for one am getting increasingly annoyed by the increasing use of Allmusic´s reviews, because they much too often are as useless as the one I speak of here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.198.89.12 (talk) 08:53, 10 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

I agree the review sucks pretty bad.it's a good album.71.47.143.44 (talk) 15:21, 21 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Added balancing opinion to the article from Bruce Kulick's website due this exact reason. In Amazon.com the album has as of this writing mostly 4 and 5 star reviews, so the it is not likely to be as poorly rated among fans as this article indicates. Most of this bias can be attributed to Allmusic lengthy quotation, which is still just single person online opinion.I myself think Carnival of Souls: Final Sessions actually quite good and different KISS album. Maybe we could look up better review than Allmusic to point to? Buddhaball (talk) 07:33, 24 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Kiss is grunge? edit

Since when? --Mrmoustache14 (talk) 01:50, 26 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

This album has a very clear grunge/alt. metal influence. 99.240.120.129 (talk) 07:34, 27 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

I agree that it is grunge. Simmons & Stanley are hilarious because they openly criticized grunge and then released a grunge album, just as they criticized disco in the '70s and then gave us "I was made for lovin' you". Anything for a dollar, holla. Still waiting for their gangsta rap album. FiggazWithAttitude (talk) 15:08, 11 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Since the song "Rain"on this album :) Buddhaball (talk) 07:34, 24 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Unmasking Era ? edit

OK, this was recorded with an unmasked band before the reunion, but was released after the reunion, therefore the wording of this sentence "It is also the band's last album of their unmasking era." is in question. It is factually true but needs clarification since the album was released well into the reunion/remasking era. FiggazWithAttitude (talk) 15:08, 11 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
