edit

I am an Alumnus of this school, Created this page with whatever info i could find and used the school diary as well for some infobox details. comments , suggestions invited --ÐℬigXЯaɣ 20:06, 25 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

It is a good begining, but it can definitly be improved on. Maybe a section listing the extra curricular activities, or possibly describing how they promote extracuricular activities. Organizing the article like this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tigard_High_School or something similar might help also. MilkStraw532 (talk) 20:18, 25 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the suggestion. I have included more information and sections. More information, useful links are invited. --ÐℬigXЯaɣ 14:57, 27 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
Your best resource would probably be the Schools Wikiproject, who will have a number of dedicated editors who would be much better placed to answer your questions - it might be worth dropping a note by there. You can find a list of good school articles Schools Wikiproject#Good articles|here and their guidelines on school articles here. More generally, the most important thing with a school article seems to be neutrality. It is best to stick to facts about the school (the WikiProject suggests the avoidance of things like mission statements) and to avoid comparisons with other schools) I hope that is of some help - let me know if you need anything else. Carmel School in News

edit

I have started a separate section called as Carmel School in News. This section includes links to newspaper reports where the School has been mentioned. this is not for self promotion of the school but to establish its notability,. (once the article was nominated for deletion owing to its notability) as the local region suffers from wp:BIAS due to less coverage of local news on the internet as compared to Print media. So will request other editors to add up more links whenever they come across one. --ÐℬigXЯaɣ 15:03, 28 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Deletion proposed

edit

I propose that this article be deleted. This school is not notable enough to be featured on Wikipedia and reads more like a Yellow Pages entry. For example, there is no information about the school having produced notable alumni, or the school having produced outstanding academic results in relation to other schools, or the school or its faculty having won any notable awards, or the school having any special historical significance. As a point of comparison, one may refer to articles of other schools in eastern India.

Capital School, Bhubaneswar (state of Odisha): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_High_School,_Bhubaneswar

a) Postage stamp issued in recognition of the school b) Prominent past pupils

St Xavier's School, Hazaribagh (state of Jharkhand): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Xavier%27s_School,_Hazaribagh

a) Founder won the National Teaching Award b) Prominent past pupils

St Paul's School, Darjeeling (state of West Bengal): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Paul%27s_School,_Darjeeling

a) Historically significant b) Illustrious alumni, including heads of state c) Awards d) Location of film shoots — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lemonntree (talkcontribs) 03:48, 7 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
