What uses do the cape fear river have? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.146.52.51 (talk • contribs)
- It's biggest use is for access to the port in Wilmington, NC from the Atlantic Ocean. Upstream, I'm sure there are some hydroelectric dams. The streams that feed Jordan Lake for instance flow into the Cape Fear. --Triadian (talk) 20:22, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
Unclear alternate names edit
Original: "The name (variously "Cape Fair" and "Cape Fare", a sept of the Scots' Ross Clan) comes from the 1585 expedition of Sir Richard Grenville." I removed the Cape Fair and Cape Fare as unclear. Does anyone have sources for this? Rmhermen (talk) 15:24, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
