Names of weaving trades edit

Some of the trade names I was not able to translate, I added a definition of them, in the hopes that someone who knows more on the subject can add the correct word. Jackaranga 15:08, 29 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

tense edit

Just so you know, like this one, many historic articles on the French wikipedia are written in the present tense, not sure if this is stylistically correct for en. I kept the present tense though. Jackaranga 19:45, 29 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Already 1744 edit

Walter Markov/Albert Soboul mentioned in 1789 Die Große Revolution der Franzosen (Berlin 1973, page 27) a canut revolt ("großer Weberaufstand") in Lyon already in the year 1744, suppressed by army. The whole sentence: Die Abhängigkeit der Kanuten vom "Tarif", den der Grossist oder Verleger festsetzte, führte zu vielen Unruhen in Lyon, darunter den großen Weberaufstand in Lyon, gegen den der Intendant Militär aufbieten musste. -- Merlinschnee (talk) 16:42, 16 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
