Differences with the Canon de 75 M(montagne) modele 1928? edit
I have a question: P. Chamberlain claims in its book that the Mle 1928 is a new design. However, a 1936 French army manual reads: "En 1928, le matériel fut légèrement modifié, en tenant compte de l'expérience acquise au Maroc. [In 1928, the gun was slightly modified, taking into account the experience acquired in Morocco]" (and also "NOTA - Le Mle 1928 diffère du Mie 1919 par le profil des boucliers (profil droit semblable à celui du 105). Les roues sont munies de tambours de frein. [NOTE - Mle 1928 differs from Mie 1919 by the profile of shields (straight profile similar to that of the 105). The wheels are fitted with brake drums]"). A magazine edited by the French Army similarly explains that the Mle 1928 is just a modernization of the Mle 1919. It gives the name Mle 1919-1928 to the gun, as does a French museum website [1].
