Miscellaneous notes edit

Thanks User:Frickeg for pointing me to the Hawker reference. Hawker calls Leo Cussen an independent protectionist, agreeing with this report from the Portland Guardian: "If elected he would give his support to Mr Barton, although he was opposed to his views in some instances, still he thought Mr Barton should be given a fair chance."

I previously edited George Simpson in New England from Ind FT to just Ind. Hawker disagrees with me, writing that the "'second' freetrader, GM Simpson, played a lone hand against the former freetrade MP Edmund Lonsdale...". I still like my edit, based on this SMH report: "The candidate announced that he would give, if elected, the Barton Government a fair trial.... He was not a party man in any sense, believing that good could be derived from the fiscal policies of both Mr. Barton and Mr. Reid."

Otherwise I don't think I'll make any further edits. There are some cases where the official endorsements or otherwise are unclear to me (in particular, I wonder if some of the, e.g., "Ind Prot" v "Prot" distinctions were decided by Hughes and Graham based on who got the most votes -- which of course will be correct much of the time), but I haven't found sources that clearly contradict what's in the table as it is now.
