The other article looks like a draft for this one. Thanks. Her Pegship 03:05, 7 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

No G-rated films were 14A edit

There is no G rated films that were rated 14A in Canada? Is that true? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:0:8500:472:A16C:7D9F:D034:10FD (talk) 23:16, 5 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Lack of ratings on DVDs and discrepancies with other countries edit

A couple of points are missed in this article. First, there are many TV series and film releases on DVD/Blu-ray that do not carry the classification. One example I have right in front of me is the DVD for the sexually explicit and violent series Black Sails which has no content advisory at all. I purchased it in Saskatchewan where, according to the article, labelling is supposed to be mandatory. Something's not quite right there. On a related note the article should be expanded to look at how Canadian ratings are sometimes at odds with those in other countries. For example, Shameless, Girls and Orange is the New Black, series that carry MA ratings in the US and would be hard R if not NC-17 if MPAA-rated, all carry just a 14 rating in Canada. And there are PG-rated home video releases that likewise would be MA rated in the states, too. I'm sure someone has written about this for sourcing. Per WP:BOLD I have added a paragraph about this to the notes. Unfortunately I cannot find an online source listing the Canadian home video ratings for the shows cited; verification is possible by visual examination of the releases at any Canadian store selling DVDs (Best Buy, Wal-Mart, HMV) or on sites that reproduce box cover art, such as Amazon.ca. 68.146.52.234 (talk) 19:51, 6 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

High resolution of current Canadian Home Video System icons (jpg format and needs to be converted) edit

I did find a high resolution version of the current Canadian Home Video System icons. However, it is in jpg format and I tried to convert it to SVG but it ended up in terrible results. Here’s the archive link to the jpg version: https://web.archive.org/web/20160414170741im_/http://www.mpa-canada.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/mpa_canada_ratings_121130_hi-res-01.jpg. If anyone can convert it to SVG perfectly and/or to find it the best possible, let me know. Thanks.
