Also, Tuna Luso won Série C one time, in 1992, and its name needs to be included in the Série C Titles by Team.

Flamengo is offically 4 times champion edit
As everyone can see in Portuguese version of Wikipedia, Flamengo is ofically 4 times champion. This number is official and supported by Brazilian Soccer Confederation (CBF), as it can by checked on their website => http://cbfnews.uol.com.br/campeoes_sa.jhtm This subject is over.

The Internacional supporter Leandro Konrad retire the process of comum justice. The Corinthians is declared champion of Brazil in 2005, sorry.

Comparison edit
Comparing this brazilian championship with others around the world, there are few similarities, but nothing equal to it.
No other country has this many teams playing in a national championship and it could be compared even to Libertadores or European Cup, not only due to the ammount of teams, but also the quality.
It is important to notice that most world statistics by FIFA does not take in consideration quality of teams, players or organization (which is always the worst part of any brazilian group), so the championship is usually overlooked by outsiders and the competition that happens within it usually filters out so much the teams that no single team has the oportunity to grab as many international titles as other country teams, such as any south american or european.
This is my opinion as brazilian but, above that, it's also my opinion as a student of statistics.

1987 controversy edit
The 1987 controversial championship seems to be explained in a clearly biased way, seeming to justify claims from Flamengo and Internacional which have been dismissed repeatedly.

Is it possible to modify the template for the Brazilian competitions at the bottom of the page? I believe the Campeonato Brasileiro Sub-20 should be included, as it has been officialised by the CBF and it expected to take place on an annual basis. Lomibz 06:10, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
