Hallelujah Junction was not "performed" by John Adams edit

What does the community suggest we do about mistakes made by the music publisher? This page takes from the album's liner notes that Adams performed the piece. But Sony Music is incorrect that Hallelujah Junction was performed by Adams. It was not. Ferenesy/Sony licensed Hallelujah Junction Mvt 1 from Nonesuch Records for use in the film and the soundtrack. That much is correct. It is also correct that the piece licensed and used was originally recorded on Adam's album "Road Movies" released in 2004. Hallelujah Junction, as performed on 2004's Road Movies was performed by pianists Nicolas Hodges & Rolf Hind. Not Adams. I am going to update the page to reflect this.

Montreux4 – Do you have a source for this? Carbrera (talk) 19:59, 9 April 2018 (UTC).Reply
Carbrera – Thanks Carbrera. I think it would a great idea to set up a reference, unfortunately I'm new to the more nuanced details of Wiki editing. I only find one direct reference, but its not credited discretely. Adam's record label, Nonesuch, makes reference to the Soundtrack in artist spotlight, noting that the track was pulled from Adam's album, Road Movies. The spotlight page discusses the track and links the track name to the record where CMBYN licensed (from Road Movies). Once you land on the Nonesuch (official) page for Road Movies, you'll see the artists listed in the official liner notes, including references to Mr. Hind and Mr. Hodges. There's other, indirect sources that note that the recording of "Hallelujah Junction" also comes from the album Road Movies. First, Sony's liner notes to CMBYN list the "Hallelujah Junction Mvt 1" recording as copywritten/under license by Nonesuch Records from 2004. The only Adams album released by Nonesuch in 2004 that features Hallelujah Junction is Road Movies. Streaming services such as Spotify and Apple are archiving the Road Movies track and caching it for use on the CMBYN soundtrack. Lastly, this is in no way applicable to an online source, but "Song Finder" apps (such as Soundhound or Shazam) recognize the recording as the recording from Road Movies. Anyway, if we are to cite sources for this, it would likely be best to cite the newsletter article and follow it with the Road Movies page hosted by Nonesuch. But of course I am open to the community's input. I realize I'm going beyond the official liner notes of the album; again, Sony says that Adams wrote and performed the track, but despite this oversight, Sony licensed the track from Nonesuch's Road Movies recorded in 2004, featuring not Adams but Hodges and Hind. Thank you again. Montreux4 (talk) 00:51, 10 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
