Few halibut are coming in right now bu they are out there.

Most go to the islands off the coast of Southern California for the really big ones. EG 50 pounds.

Then there are the few good sized ones from PV to Malibu in the 25 to 30 pound range. During the last Halibut Derby a 41 pound halibut was brought in to win it in 2006.

What is the average size of the California Halibut in your area?The halibut looks like a flt fish.
