mountain passes?
I'm reanalyzing my mc trip and find that for many roads/hiwys there are no indications of their mountain passes in lots of the wiki pages (e.g. CA-299, UT-12...). Also for 299 between Eureka and Willow Creek, there are two major elevations I don't find any name here. But I know there was a traffic shield with the name of at least one of the mtn. passes. Unfortunately, also on Google Maps and Google Earth there is rarely an indication of the mtn pass names. Since I was a tourist from Europe I have no idea of these names, but still want to know.
I appreciate if you could provide the names of major mtn passes of the (scenic) roads/hiwys.

- The 299 crosses four (major) mountain passes (from west to east) between Eureka and Redding: Lord Ellis Summit (elevation 2,260 ft) and Berry Summit (elev. 2,871 ft) in Humboldt County, Oregon Mountain (elev. 2,888 ft) and Buckhorn Summit (elev. 3,215 ft.) in Trinity County. Hatchet Mountain Summit (elev. 4,368 ft.), Big Valley Mountain Summit (elev. 4,603 ft), Adin Pass (elev. 5,173 ft), and Cedar Pass (elev. 6,305 ft) are ALL east of Redding going toward the Nevada State line. To answer your question, a good one, by the way, you crossed, in order from west to east, Lord Ellis and Berry Summit on your way from Eureka/Arcata to Willow Creek. Thanks for asking.
