Peer Review # 2:

The foundation of the school being developed by Mr. Caldwell is strong but there is some credibility bias when you use the phrase about "the way in which the parents of Greensboro" wanted to teach their students althought I can see where you are headed. You could expand on this section by including how many other school in the city limits or Guilford county are Christian schools or teach in the way that Caldwell is based on. You can use this as a compare and contrast method. Also, a minor detail that I suggest is changing the heading "classical education" to just "education" and then using classical education as a subcategory where you can expand more on that and what that includes. It might make the reading or organization flow better.

I also suggest expanding on where the school stands today as far as how many students and staff are there now? Also, are there any rewards, certifications that they have received in the academic world or from school boards?

The history is strong but I think you should include some links about what's going on currently with the school, maybe a school website link or links about the life of Mr. Caldwell. With such a new school its clear that there isn't too much information out there besides personal information (if this is the school where you went).

Peer Review #2 Strengths: Your layout and sub-categories make the page very easy to follow. I also appreciate that you avoided wordiness and flowery language, because in an informational article the concise writing is very much easier to read/comprehend. The topic headings of your subcategories very nicely separate the different aspects of Caldwell Academy's history and objectives.

Some suggestions I have: A little more information of the principles of a Classical Education would add to the value of the page, because (maybe it's just me!) I don't really see the connection between that academic progression and the association with Christianity. Under history, perhaps you could continue with your facts and say how many students the school now has, when did the school expand from 6th grade to 12th grade, where is it located? I agree with a former reviewer who said your statement of "the principles that the parents in Greensboro desired to teach their children" is a sweeping generalization and should probably be changed, as I'm sure not every parent in Greensboro desires a Christian education for their child. If you wish to discuss the athletics of the school, maybe include which sports they offer?

Additional Resources: Consider including a link to the school's homepage, perhaps on that page you can also find their exact mission statement and include that in your article as well. Is there information on $cost, admission requirements, etc listed on Caldwell Academy's website or on another site? These facts can probably be found online and would be interesting additions if you think they are relevant! Mes111 (talk) 17:40, 8 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

You have a good foundation for this page, but it is still lacking in various ways. I think that if you could add an info box on the upper right hand side it would look nice. There is surely a picture of the front of the school somewhere, and you can simply add in the founding date, etc. etc. etc.

There aren't any links to other pages, either within Wikipedia or elsewhere; if you could change this then it would help out a lot. Listing references such as the school's website (assuming there is one) and anywhere else you found information is imperative before you finish. Being a relatively new school, it would also be helpful to add some recent news, events, athletics, and so on.

Overall you have a good start, but keep working on the page so that you can polish it up. On a final note, you may want to re-read what you have written so as not to appear to have any bias toward the school. Good job - keep up your work on the page.Wduckett (talk) 17:44, 8 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
