The result of the move request was: This discussion resulted in a consensus that Cabbage Tree Island (disambiguation) should be moved to the primary title of Cabbage Tree Island. Consequently, the first move in this proposal is moved as proposed to free up the primary title, while the result of the second proposal is not moved.

Due to concerns about WP:PRECISE, some participants proposed moving Cabbage Tree Island, New South Wales to an alternate title such as Cabbage Tree Island, Ballina Shire. This RM did not result in significant discussion on alternate titles for the NSW municipality, so a new RM on that point may be opened at any time. – Cabbage Tree Island, New South Wales (Ballina Shire) is a census suburb, has a public school, and media references. The Island in John Gould Nature Reserve is less notable. The current Wikipedia naming is causing google maps and google search to put the nature reserve island as the result of a search. There is also a 3rd Cabbage Tree Island in NSW, in the Manning River, but it is not notable.   My reasoning for moving the Ballina Shire Cabbage Tree Island to Cabbage Tree Island (with a hatnote to Cabbage Tree Island (disambiguation)) is that the John Gould one is uninhabited, and the Old Bar one has a population of under 20, so it really is strongly the most notable. If others are opposed to that, then my suggest fallback would be to make the disambiguation page the Cabbage Tree Island page. Newystats (talk) 11:52, 6 May 2023 (UTC)

Based on how this is going, I've moved the second from current location (which is evidently an impossible title) to Cabbage Tree Island, Ballina Shire, but it may be that Cabbage Tree Island, Northern Rivers would be better? In any case that should I hope make sorting this RM and dab out easier. If anyone objects move back to NSW no problem. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:10, 3 May 2023 (UTC)

Since redirects, such as the one you made at Cabbage Tree Island, New South Wales, are ineligible to be current titles in move requests, that one will have to be removed or changed, possibly to Cabbage Tree Island, Ballina Shire.
