Quote boxes

This article has several blue boxes with Trump misinformation quotes in them. My question is, is it appropriate for us as editors to pick and choose what comments we want to give extra weight to? One could argue this has WP:OR, WP:WEIGHT, and WP:PRIMARY issues. I am undecided. Thoughts? –Novem Linguae (talk) 03:27, 2 February 2021 (UTC)

Misinformation related to the COVID-19 pandemic by the United StatesCOVID-19 misinformation by the United States – Shorter name, per WP:CONCISE. Also, the parent articles COVID-19 misinformation and COVID-19 misinformation by governments underwent a similar name change recently. Using the requested move template because this page is move protected. –Novem Linguae (talk) 10:30, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

Support. I had the same idea for similar reasons.-- Maxeto0910 (talk) 05:05, 9 February 2021 (UTC)

  • Support, nice to be WP:concise. Polyamorph (talk) 11:42, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
  • Comment. Is there a reason why we're beating around the bush and not referring to the Trump administration directly? Or if we're going to refer to statements by others, why not "misinformation in the United States?" The current and proposed titles are both rather awkwardly written. -- Calidum 16:02, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

COVID-19 isn't the flu; It's "the common cold"!

TNYT today: "A mild case [of COVID-19] is effectively the common cold." (It's a miracle!) Drsruli (talk) 12:44, 19 February 2021 (UTC)

This is already under discussion here. No need to split it. Cheers, RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 13:42, 19 February 2021 (UTC)

(I had originally intended it here, before I realized that the original article had meanwhile been split.) Drsruli (talk) 13:45, 19 February 2021 (UTC)

Lead does not summarize the article

The lead should include an overview of the actual misinformation that was spread by those mentioned in the article. This is especially problematic considering that the lead is embedded in COVID-19_misinformation_by_governments#United_States. I've made an attempt to include the main topics, but it could use some more attention. Pieceofmetalwork (talk) 09:53, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
