Crash mode in burnout 1? edit

"Burnout also features a special 'Crash Mode' as part of the game". I thought Burnout 1 did not have Crash Mode. Perhaps we should rewrite the sentence as "Burnout 2 introduced a special feature known as 'Crash Mode'." -Hyad 04:55, July 28, 2005 (UTC)

Correct, Burnout 1 did not have the Crash for Cash game mode. I implemented it in Burnout 2. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.234.101.8 (talk) 22:54, 26 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Possible split edit

Should this article perhaps be split into Burnout (game) and Burnout (game series). Much of the info on this page refers to later incarnations of the Burnout series, since Burnout 1 was really just a fairly typical arcade-racer game. smurrayinchester(User), (Talk) 15:15, 23 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

A lot of the articles on here mention the rest of the series on the article of the first game of that series. It's very useful because it summarizes the series and looks through the changes that the series has made throughout the games. Douglasr007 00:12, 27 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
However, this is inconsistent with other articles about video games series. Usually, there are separate articles for the first game in the series and the series itself. This article is a mixture of the first game and the series as a whole. I agree that this article needs to be split, because it is potentially confusing.(Myscrnnm 18:35, 10 June 2007 (UTC))Reply

I just purchased all four Burnout games for the PlayStation 2. I'm so lucky thatt I played one at a time because I might think we can turn it into Burnout world like to attach all four games in one big city of Burnout. My idea is just perfect. Anything Else (a.k.a.) David 12:12, 17 April 2006

Controversies edit

I am considering adding this line to start the 2nd paragraph "However the game was not without controversies as it was widely attacked by road safety groups." as it was true at the time like GTA did a few years back it did attracted a lot of controversies in the UK, wheras not for the similar game by Konami called Thrill Drive being a arcade game released in 1998.

Who was the instructor who taught Princess Diana defensive driving and was attacked by the media for endorsing the game?

Fair use rationale for Image:Burnout.jpg edit

Image:Burnout.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 15:57, 1 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Xbox 360 glitch edit

Is it just my battered disc, or does Multiplayer not work on the Xbox 360 with an original Xbox game? Smithx807 (talk) 22:10, 3 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
