Opening heading

Gentrification - I dont see any point in bringing it up - Bunker Hill currently does not have any lower income people to displace.

No, but central Los Angeles does in general. Gentrification pressures are pushing a lot of the very poorest people out of nearby South Park and Little Tokyo, and to an extent out of Koreatown and Echo Park as well.--Slightlyslack 06:36, 7 September 2005 (UTC)

The history of the demolition of Bunker Hill probably deserves a little more space. It was controversial "urban renewal." Also, the architectural transformation deserves some extended mention. Image problem

The previous image of "Bunker Hill as viewed from a parking ramp at USC" did not show Bunker Hill. As a former resident of both USC and Bunker Hill, I can say without doubt that it is not visible from campus. Rather, the view is of the Financial District. Bunker Hill lies on the opposite side (North) of the Financial District and is impossible to see from the USC campus (South). I have corrected the image's caption and removed it from this article (replacing it with two notable landmarks on Bunker Hill). Bobak 20:43, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

Bunker Hill in popular culture

"On "The Adventures of Philip Marlowe" radio program with episode named "Baton Sinister" dated September 17, 1949, Angels Flight is referenced as Marlowe has a rendezvous set in Bunker Hill." [1]

The above is most likely true but we need a better reference for it. All I can find in relation to this is Adventures of Philip Marlowe, 09-17-1949 The Baton Sinister Page 4 and Ralph Story's L.A. 08-04-1964 Bunker Hill page 132 http://www.tol.lib.ca.us/Specoll/radio_scripts_index_10-2013.pdf
