BuffonBuffon (disambiguation) – And redirect "Buffon" to Gianluigi Buffon, as he receives far more pageviews than any of the other Buffons.[1] Unreal7 (talk) 12:13, 12 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Are you one of those bot accounts that can't read? Wagner redirects to Richard Wagner, Bach redirects to Johann Sebastian Bach and Lennon redirects to John Lennon. Quit opposing on the grounds of "I don't like it" - it is seriously, seriously boring now. Unreal7 (talk) 08:42, 20 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • Agree Agreed with Unreal7, he makes valid points. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 12:45, 20 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose per In Ictu Oculi, and WP:TROUT to Unreal7 for uncivil response to the oppose vote above. Of course, Bach, Wagner and Lennon are huge historical figures, and almost very frequently cited by their surname only, which most in the world would recognise. Buffon does not fall into that category - he may be more noteworthy than any of the others, but we don't apply a WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT nearly as often for surnames as we would for any other topic. See also Thatcher, Collina, Del Piero, for other prominent people not given a redirect. And also note Ronaldo, where the Brazilian footballer gets the page because that's his whole name, even though Cristiano Ronaldo is probably equally prominent but that's only his surname.  — Amakuru (talk) 21:03, 20 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
